MS Outlook includes different file items such as contacts, notes, tasks, calendar, journals, email messages, etc. All the folders of these files saved in PST format. It comes as ANSI PST and UNICODE PST. The size limit of ANSI PST is 2 GB and UNICODE PST is 20 GB, which is now extended 50 GB from Outlook 2010 edition.   4. Choose desired folder to move. Also, select option “Archive Items older than” to choose items older than specific duration.
  5. Browse location, choose new destination path to save items in new PST and press OK.

  1. Open Outlook, go to File, click Account Settings and select Account Settings.
  2. From Account Setting window, go to Data Files and select Add.
  3. The window of Create or Open Outlook Data File will display. Provide the location and name for file. Hit Ok and click Close to close window of Account Setting.
  4. Move to File, select Open and then Import. Import/Export wizard appears.
  5. Choose “Export to a file” and click Next.
  6. Select PST file and hit Next. Choose items and folders accordingly and click Next.
  7. Browse location in order to save new file.
  8. Before export of items, choose desired option and hit Finish.
  9. Window of Create Outlook Data File displays, apply password (if required) otherwise hit Cancel.

Method 3. Outlook Move to Folder Feature

  1. Open MS Outlook, click File, select New and choose Outlook Data File.
  2. From New Outlook Data File window, choose Office Outlook Personal Folder and hit OK.
  3. Create Microsoft Personal Folder box will appear, provide name to new PST.
  4. Navigate to Edit and select Move to Folder.
  5. Click New from appeared dialogue box of Move Items.
  6. In Create New Folder window, provide new PST file name in Name text box.
  7. Choose new PST file in option of Select where to place the folder and hit OK.
  8. You should choose new folder for new PST file in dialogue box of Move Items and press OK.
